I am kind of obsessed with anything and everything floral these days. I’m usually an über-tomboy… but I think flowers are the easiest way to femme it up a little.
This floral slip dress is seriously to die. It’s so girly and feminine and I feel like I would literally wear it with everything… Docs ✓, knee-highs ✓, an oversized flannel ✓, a slouchy beanie ✓✓✓. I esp. love the lace detailing at the bottom. I was literally about to pull the trigger and finalize my “shopping cart” when I thought… lemme make SURE I can’t find a steal for this bad boy. Lo and behold… I found the perfect one. Sry… but this little number is almost identical. Plus, it’s under $20 bucks. Double score.
Woah, woah, woah… wait a minute. When did it become March? I’m pretty sure I was just stuffing the turkey and trimming the tree… and now we’re heading into Spring ( although the weather may indicate otherwise ). WTH?? Yep… Spring is exactly 20 days away.
So, what’s a girl to do…? Shop, naturally. To me, Spring means flowy dresses, floppy hats, oversized sunnies, tons of fringe, trying to incorporate a lot of little color into my wardrobe, giant bell bottoms, and floral prints for days. I’m building up my Spring wardrobe right now so that when Spring has sprung… I’m ready and waiting!
I know I’ve blogged about my favorite combat boots about twenty five- hundred times… but I can’t help it. When I like something… I like something. So sue me.
Why do I love these boots… well, they are comfy as hell and go with anything and everything. Shorts, skirts, leggings, sweats. I’m serious. They rarely leave my feet.
BUT… I have to tell you guys that I found a KILLER steal. Like. It’s ridic. Nine eyelets… check. Floral fold-down… check. Totally to-die… check check check. The ‘steal’ is a little more ‘boot-like’ than the ‘real’, which makes me wonder… do I need them both? <– Told you I have a problem. Anyway, at $80 smackaroos, I feel that the ‘reals’ are totally justifiable… however, if you’re pinching your pennies, these ‘steals’ are right up your alley!
It may be the middle of February… but here in SD you would seriously never know it! I really can’t complain about being able to soak up the sun and work on my tan in the middle of winter, esp when the rest of the country seems to be freezing their a**es off. Honestly, it makes me feel a little guilty. But whateves, I can’t control the weather… so I might as well enjoy it!
I’ll admit… even living in the most beautiful city, it can be tough to tear myself away from the computer. Like seriously… it’s a problem. A big one. Buuuuuuut, being an O’Neill Style Ambassador encourages me to do just that… and do so in style.
If you couldn’t already tell… I love throwing on a kimono over about anything and everything… light, breezy, and perfect for this SD weather… year round!
These new fringe boots are everything… the more fringe, the better IMHO.
It wouldn’t be a perfect day if I didn’t spend it with my partner in crime… Frida!
Anyone who knows me knows that I am shoe OBSESSED. Like, it’s a problem.
“Groceries… maybe. New shoes… definitely!”
Anyhow… I think splurging on shoes is totally justifiable, don’t you? However… There’s no feeling quite like finding a great “steal”.
I live in boots… summer, winter… doesn’t really matter. They are def my shoe of choice. That being said, it’s kind of fun to spice up everyday ‘uniform’ which typically consists of black on black with a touch of black.
I love anything ‘tomboy’… especially when it has a hint of girly-ness, so I’m obviously dying over these floral Dr. Martens. I’m all about mixing prints and patterns, so in my opinion they literally go with everything. The price point isn’t too shabby, and honestly a good pair of docs will last you for life. But… these little gems from Steve Madden are equally as cute and only half the price. So, the choice is yours. Spend on the “Real“, or save on the “Steal“?
I love headwear. Period. Especially in the form of a good snapback. Throwing on a cap is definitely my go to move when I want to hit the gym, run errands ( aka shop ), or just don’t feel like spending an hour brushing out my rat’s nest. IDK why… but sometimes I feel like if I’m wearing a hat I’m all of a sudden invisible and can go about my day with no distractions.
Sometimes, however, a hat is not just a cover-up, but rather a strategically placed part of the whole ensemble. I’ve been obsessed with this cutie for quite some time. It pretty much calls my name every time I walk into UO… which is far too often. I will say that this “Real” is totally budget friendly, and if you’re all about rocking headwear I would go for it. However, if you’re new to the hat game and not so sure how often you would actually sport it, opt for the “Steal”. It’s equally as cute for a quarter of the price so you pretty much can’t go wrong.
+ Real: Urban Outfitter’s Profound Aesthetic Portland 5-Panel Hat $42
It’s official… Spring is in the air! Well, maybe not “official” as the Spring Equinox doesn’t technically occur until March 20th, but as far as I’m concerned… Spring has sprung.
I couldn’t be more excited because every new season feels like a fresh start. Spring means longer days, hotter nights, & more importantly new fashion trends. I’m obsessed with anything and everything floral right now [which is very unlike me]. This little dime is one of my favs of the moment. Floral with a 90’s twist… yes please! I had a dress just like this circa ’93… hey, what goes around comes around.
I’m also dying over these beige booties <– I forced myself to buy beige over black and I’m glad I did… I think they’re perfectfor Spring!
